Preparation

• Reef early and secure loose gear
• Establish jackline usage and PFD policy
• Review storm tactics and watch rotation

During Event

• Maintain situational awareness (radar, AIS, lightning)
• Balance sailplan and engines as required
• Monitor bilges, rig, and steering loads

Aftermath

• Inspect rigging, sails, and systems for damage
• Dry out and reset storm gear
• Debrief crew and update notes for next time
